Do you want to be heard, understood, and create positive changes in your life? People generally do, and these qualities are important when seeking out a therapist. Establishing rapport to ensure I am a good professional fit is central to my approach. The foundation of my approach is helping patients identify their strengths so they can utilize them in their daily lives. At the end of the day you're an expert in your own life and I collaborate with you to identify what's going on to help create change. View 4 Photos While I consider myself a generalist practitioner, my specialties include depression, anxiety, chronic pain, psychosocial factors associated with diabetes and other health-related issues, healthy lifestyle changes, PTSD, substance use, and stress management. Additionally, I have worked in various settings including medical facilities, VA, community mental health, and inpatient. My primary counseling approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) while incorporating mindfulness, relaxation and solution-focused techniques as appropriate. Helping people create positive change in their lives is something I value highly and something I'm lucky to do for a living.
