The people I see want to enjoy their lives and respond with confidence to what's happening in their lives. Enjoying life is a consequence of seeing ourselves and our life as consistent with who and how we want to be. Anxiety and depression are common human experiences that easily distract us from healthy, helpful ways of being. I'm a licensed psychologist in Lawrence and I see individual adults with anxiety, depression, substance use, OCD, and chronic health conditions (including chronic pain). I also see individuals living successful lives who would like to experience a more rewarding life with less stress. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally. View 9 Photos I coach, teach, and guide people to practice living their best life in the present moment. I use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness, to help you put less effort into getting away from emotions and unwanted events and more effort into living the life you want based on your values, strengths, and abilities. We are doing our best even when we know we can do better. Asking for help can be a life-changing experience and therapy can be the most rewarding investment of time, energy, and effort you will ever make. I hope you will look at my website (https://www.living-the-life-you-want) and contact me to help you decide if Intentional Living is a good fit for you.
