About

I earned my Ph.D. in psychology from Saybrook Graduate School in California. I am a Gottman Certified Therapist and I enjoy working with families and marital issues. As a Performance Coach I am dedicated to the development of human potential in sports, music, the corporate board room, and within the families. I believe that in helping my clients develop the positive mental attributes necessary for attaining their own unique and specific goals they can be successful and happy. I have worked as a clinician for 25 years, joining Arbor in January, 2007. I am trained in Adlerian psychotherapy.

As a Certified Gottman Therapist I specialize in working with marital issues. Additionally I work with folks suffering from alcohol/drug addictions, depression, and anxiety. I am an advanced certified relapse prevention specialist, and trained with Terry Gorski.

John is a published author, having co-authored "How Can This Be" the Epilogue for The Psychological Impact Of War Trauma On Civilians, Praeger Publishers and A Humanistic Approach to the Psychology of Trauma from Living With Terror, Working With Trauma A Clinician's Handbook published by Rowman & Littlefield.
