My name is John Bryan and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT 44869) based in Riverside California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, and pain management issues. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Positive Psychology to help my clients move forward in their lives and feel better. My approach to therapy depends on the client’s needs. I actively listen to the struggles the client is having and what they want for themselves to move forward in their lives, and I try to coach them to gain insight and find solutions to their problems. My journey to becoming a therapist started as a seminary student in the Catholic Church. I studied for seven years to become a priest, and when I left the seminary I pursued teaching high school and then junior college. Counseling has always been an interest of mine. I went back to school, got my counseling degree, and became a therapist to help people.
