My passion is helping people realize their individual gifts and ultimately accept themselves fully. I work with a broad range of areas including depression, anxiety, relationships, mindfulness, women's issues, adolescent issues, trauma and grief. My areas of specialty and expertise are in CBT, EMDR, eating disorders, adolescent issues, binge eating, anxiety, coping with chronic illness and parenting skills. I holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Houston. I completed a LEAH (Leadership Education in Adolescent Health) fellowship with Baylor College of Medicine, which focused on clinical care as well as research, public health policy and advocacy. I have been extensively trained in CBT, EFFT and the EMDR protocol through EMDRIA. My key skills as a therapist are warmth, empathy and ability to listen. I utilize a broad range of treatment modalities including CBT, EMDR, EFFT, ACT, DBT, strategic family systems therapy, client-centered therapy and mindfulness.
