About

I am a licensed psychologist practicing in Montclair, NJ. I received my A.B. in psychology from Harvard University, and my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Emory University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medical College. In addition to treating adults and adolescents with a range of difficulties, including mood/anxiety disorders and relationship problems, I have specialized training in the treatment of personality disorders and working with individuals who struggle with ongoing patterns of self-defeating behavior, self-harm, or chronic experiences of emptiness or unhappiness.

I aim to create a supportive environment, with well-established goals. Although my primary orientation is psychodynamic, I readily use CBT techniques when indicated. I am considered an Out-of-Network provider and provide receipts for those seeking insurance reimbursement.

It is important to me to use empirically-supported forms of psychotherapy so that clients are treated with the most effective psychotherapeutic approaches. Deciding to enter therapy can be difficult, but it can also be an effective way out of life's impasses. Please visit my website for more information.
