About

Seeking professional help is a significant and empowering personal decision. It’s an opportunity to sort through troubling thoughts and feelings, overcome obstacles, and search for new solutions and pathways for positive change and growth. It’s an acknowledgement of the desire and need to look at one’s life from a different perspective. I believe one of the most important components for guiding clients through this process is the establishment of a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship. Within this framework, I strive to offer understanding, reassurance, acceptance, and hope.

I work collaboratively with my clients to clarify their goals and to enhance their skills and self-confidence to resolve difficulties. I encourage each client to explore their individuality and their strengths and resiliency to heal and experience a greater sense of well-being and fulfillment. I appreciate the diversity and uniqueness of each individual.

Although anxiety, depression, and trauma may be prevailing concerns, specific issues can also interfere with day to day functioning: “Why am I so angry.” “How do I get organized?” As a psychologist for over 30 years, I draw upon various models of psychotherapy and focus on tailoring my approach for each individual at each stage of their progress.
