I’m the type of therapist who enjoys taking on the complexity of life, emotions, and relationships. I help individuals and couples who find themselves in a place in life where so much seems to be going right, but stress or insecurities may be taking big toll. On the outside it may seem like you have it all together, but what others might not see is the immense pressure or emotional distress that has been building up beneath the surface. It might feel like we should be able to figure it all out on our own, but even the most successful, self-sufficient people need support working through life's challenges. I’m ready to help you through the tough stuff — understanding the impact of and healing from infidelity, working to rebuild connection and intimacy after it feels like it's been lost, or navigating separation/divorce. I also have extensive experience in treating eating disorders and am passionate about supporting clients through the complexities of recovery. I think of myself as direct and solution-focused. Being direct can sometimes be uncomfortable, but that’s what therapy is about — we have to lean into discomfort in order to make change. I give feedback, gently challenge thought processes when they are ineffective or unhealthy, and reflect back emotions to increase insight and understanding.
