About

As a clinician, my most inspiring clients are the adolescents and adults that have overcome the struggles of addiction, eating disorders and family conflict. Effective change happens when strategies addressing the underlying problem are individualized and creative. The safe space offered in therapy allows my clients to explore their feelings, their choices, and challenge their patterns of behavior. I have worked extensively with teens struggling at school, at home, and with the legal system. My work with parents includes finding effective strategies to reach their teen while opening the lines of communication within the family system.

My work with substance abuse treatment and prevention has spanned my career while working in the school system, alternatives to incarceration, residential treatment facilities and in my private practice. I have also worked with individuals struggling with eating disorders for over 20 years in a residential setting.

My work is grounded in empathy and connection, while being direct in a compassionate way, to help individuals gain further insight into themselves. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey. Please check out my book on Amazon "The Gut Check: How To Reconnect With Your Intuition" for concrete ways to support your therapeutic process.
