About

I work with a wide variety of clients and mental health concerns, and especially enjoy supporting adults and couples looking to improve communication and satisfaction in their relationships. I believe that therapy can help people find new, positive ways of connecting and increasing their sense of support and resiliency. In addition to relationship work, I help people going through life transitions in all stages of life. I particularly like working with adults in middle age and beyond navigating an empty nest, balancing care for children and aging parents, or those moving into retirement and exploring their identity outside of work.

As a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), I understand the disruptive nature of addictions on couples, families, and individual mental health. I work with people who are exploring their current relationship with alcohol or substance use, and those who are leaving treatment programs for substance abuse and are seeking ongoing support.

My approach to therapy is strengths-based and relational. I have training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Prepare/Enrich, an evidence-based tool for helping couples prepare for marriage and improve their relationships. I have additional training in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for treating the intrusive thoughts associated with OCD.
