About

My eclectic therapeutic approach draws from my background as a social worker as well as my training in relational psychoanalysis, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and family/marital therapy. While thinking about the person and their environment I focus on the present and revisit the past in order to better understand how it affects one’s current life. I take into account the individual sitting in front of me and how he or she can best benefit from therapy. The therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance in order for therapy to be effective. Clients should feel safe and comfortable opening up to their therapist.

It is important to process change so that stress doesn't build up and manifest itself in unhealthy ways. As an outsider I will reflect back to you what I am hearing and help you have a clearer picture of what it is you want for yourself so that you can live your life in the best way possible.

I often work with individuals who are on a religious and/or spiritual journey. If interested, I will help you delve deeper into your beliefs to better understand how religion and/or spirituality can help you achieve your goals.
