I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist. My theoretical approach is grounded in a strengths-based, person centered, studio model. Using this approach for the therapeutic process allows for multiple opportunities of growth for my clients. In my work, I love to therapeutically support my clients in their creative journey. Together, we can explore materials, art making techniques and develop life skills in the art studio. I fully believe that there are no right or wrong ways to make art! I use this concept in my work with my clients as I blend together my knowledge of art therapy interventions and other counseling techniques. I have found in my experience using this way of working is very beneficial to many people with a wide range of physical and cognitive disabilities. Dandelion Therapeutic Art Center is located in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago. Dandelion is a place to move beyond words in your therapeutic journey and start creating the life you want.
