I am interested in helping my clients live their best lives possible, working with them to create a toolkit of coping skills based on their strengths. I believe our lives are shaped by our past experiences, but they don't define the person we are today. Let's clarify what is important to you in your life currently, & how we can work together to move you through what is making you feel emotionally or physically "stuck". Prior to private practice, I worked in the hospital system. I have a strong medical knowledge base, & I specialize in people dealing with chronic health problems and co-occurring mental health issues. Even though we deal with serious and upsetting matters during therapy sessions, I feel it is important to have some levity & laughter when appropriate. Humor is a wonderful, but often underrated, tool. I practice cognitive behavioral, mindfulness & strengths-based therapies to reduce stress and increase happiness and feelings of self-efficacy. About half of my current client base identifies under the Queer Spectrum. My goal is to help them explore & express their sexual & gender identities authentically in their lives, as they see fit. I also work with many teachers who are prioritizing their own mental health by providing skills, support, & tools to help them thrive personally and professionally.
