About

A social worker for over ten years, I work with adults who feel stuck and crave change. Perhaps you're facing recovery, problematic habits, relationship problems, or challenges with intimacy — or perhaps you feel the symptoms of anxiety and depression more acutely than you once did. Most of my clients feel pragmatic about counseling and are hoping (from the start) that the work might be brief. While I do practice longer-term counseling, I also believe that treatment can be brief. It all depends on one's goals and the nature of their individual dilemma. I offer a free consultation to see if we might be a good fit.

I pull from the relational, cognitive and narrative schools of counseling to create a contemporary-feeling counseling style that often resonates with those who feel skeptical of counseling. In the beginning of the process, my style utilizes open ended questions and compassionate listening to map the nature of the problem and to illuminate barriers to change.

If you identify with (or love someone similar to) the client depicted above, I hope you'll schedule a consultation or share this page.
