I support individuals and families in learning about, and coping with, mental health and substance abuse diagnoses. I utilize techniques designed to assist individuals in healing and reaching personal goals. I understand the negative impact Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) have on the whole person and I am passionate about providing trauma-informed, person-centered care. I have worked in the mental health field since 1991 and have extensive experience in a variety of settings, including: inpatient acute care, residential treatment, community mental health, and drop-out prevention. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I believe that successful outcomes are the result of a collaboration between therapist and client. To that end, weekly assignments will be given to offer clients the opportunity to practice skills learned in sessions.
