It is a huge gift to be able to witness someone who had little hope become that person they always dreamed of! To give just one person the gift of hope; that is priceless. I have found that most people "in recovery", they are strong amazing people! You've overcome so much already, use those assets for your recovery instead of active addiction. View 4 Photos I have worked in the addiction field 15 years now. I came into the field with 15+ years of personal experience, living thru my own active addiction. I had to do my own "research" before entering into the profession. Recovery has become my passion. I love hearing stories of bravery and courage, all that brought you to today. I studied "replacement" therapies throughout my schooling and I still have a great interest in "mediation assisted recovery". I have witnessed people who find success with medications can feel shunned, even shamed; made to feel they are not "in recovery". I am a believer that if your life is getting better then who is to say if you are "in recovery" or not?
