About

My training is based in a combination of psychodynamic and experiential psychotherapy. My emphasis is to facilitate a therapeutic relationship where vulnerable feelings can be safely expressed. Symptoms of anxiety, depression, addiction... can be seen as invitations from the psyche to explore our internal world with understanding and compassion. Psychotherapy provides a safe place for this internal exploration within a caring relationship of respect.

My emphasis in psychotherapy is to facilitate a therapeutic relationship where every part of the person's experience is welcomed with warmth and curiosity. I believe our emotional pain is a symptom that when listened to with empathy and understanding guides us into places within that need attention and healing.

We all have our stories to tell of present dilemmas along with the historical connections that are entwined. Understanding how the past is influencing our present experience is important in learning how to sort out our defenses. I also facilitate awareness to the inner experience through mindfulness, and by listening to the wisdom held in our bodies.
