About

I have a diverse background working with children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings, in school based health centers, as well as in private practice. My clinical approach is psychodynamic and insight oriented, and I am comfortable working with all types of people and diagnoses. I believe whole heartedly that successful treatment can be life changing and I work in a way that supports my clients while also empowering them to better understand their needs, goals and how to fulfill them.

I work with families of children with learning, cognitive, and emotional disabilities, and chronic illness. I have successfully advocated for them through the PPT process, and have secured IEP's and 504 plans so that these children can be appropriately educated. The emotional challenges for these families is also explored.

Families who have children with special needs face multiple challenges. My clinical background and practical understanding of the special needs world is uniquely beneficial to my clients who face the emotional difficulties, the need for advocacy, and practical knowledge for navigating the special needs world.
