Thank you for taking another step toward wellness and healing. Therapy is best facilitated by a good fit and a collaborative kind relationship, so I want to tell you in plain language about my approach. I believe in making space for pain and letting in light around shame. I'm invested in nurturing your innate creativity and natural bent towards healing and growth. I believe in weeping with you, while cherishing the moments we can laugh through the pain. My training is grounded in Attachment Theory, and I work primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Self-Compassion, and Mindfulness-based modalities. My speciality is working with older teens and adults with anxiety who are looking for a lighter approach to Mindfulness practices. My other specialty is working with folks with OCD and Tic Disorders. I have extensive training and experience through my work at UCSF's OCD, Anxiety & Tic Disorder Clinic. My approach to ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention) work is supplemented by ACT, which many clients find to be a much more effective and compassionate approach than just ERP alone.
