About

Reaching out for help for yourself or your children takes courage and openness. It can be scary but gaining insight and appropriate coping skills to better your life is the most important thing you can do for yourself and your family. I specialize in working with children under twelve but also have extensive years of experience working with all ages. I have grown a passion for working with young adults experiencing so many of life’s new challenges and changes, as they transition in college and their new lives after graduation. I believe in building a trusting relationship in a safe non-judgmental environment.

I have worked in many settings from psychiatric inpatient care, afterschool behavioral intervention programs, public schools, community in home intensive programs and college counseling settings. Typical sessions involve skill building, play therapy or animal assisted therapy, when appropriate, and a strong therapeutic supportive relationship.

I have a registered therapy canine with Pet Partners named Chewbacca. He was registered as a therapy dog in March 2016 and I received a certification in Animal Assisted Therapy in 2014. He has been an amazing partner in therapy where pet therapy is appropriate. I am dual licensed and can see only clients in GA in person, telehealth for NC and FL.
