The challenges of life are opportunities to learn about ourselves and make changes to bring us more happiness, security and health. If you feel unsatisfied, angry, insecure or stressed, these emotions can lead to anxiety, relationship problems and poor health. I work with clients to eliminate negative thinking, resolve emotional difficulties and to focus on strengths that promote coping and self-growth. Whether your symptoms/patterns are lifelong or you are experiencing them in response to a life stressor or embarking on a new phase of life, I can help you to create the life you want and enjoy by eliminating barriers to change. My specialty in Health Psychology focuses on the connection between emotions and physical health, the overall mind-body relationship in issues such as anxiety, depression and stress-related behaviors. I encourage exercise, relaxation, nutrition, mindfulness and also improving relationships and self-esteem with assertiveness skills and positive psychology. My approach to therapy is goal-directed and focused on improving overall wellness by empowering clients to reach their full potential. My style is active, warm, non-judgemental. I provide a personable and attentive environment to every client. Specific interventions that I often use are CBT, mindfulness, ACT, positive psychology and coaching strategies.
