My belief that each of us has the potential to heal and transform, guides and informs my work as a therapist. I help people overcome anxiety, deal with depression, and emerge from trauma. I approach each person individually with warmth and compassion, and I strive to help harness a person's own natural strengths to work through problems of substance use, major life transitions, or concerns centering on gender and sexual identity. My therapeutic approach stems from extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - including Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma. From the very start of therapy, we will collaborate to clearly identify your needs, your challenges, and your goals, so that our work together is fruitful. We will work together to help you build a life of growth, meaning, and full engagement. My academic background includes having earned a BA at Kent State University in Ohio and a Doctorate at Purdue University, in Indiana.
