About

Agape Pastoral Counseling provides integrative psychotherapy to a diverse clientele. Those struggling with faith issues may particularly benefit from working with us. We also have a unique perspective on the psychological, emotional, and spiritual struggles of families with special needs children. Those wrestling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and/or addictions will also find our approach combining spirituality/theology with modern psychological theories and techniques to be an effective way to achieve symptom improvement.

A pastoral counselor is a bit different than a clinical counselor or therapist. While they may provide similar services, pastoral counselors integrate spirituality, faith and theology with psychotherapy to help people seeking assistance with personal, family, marital, and faith issues. In addition to clinical training, we have theological training also.

Agape love is the highest form of love. It is a Greek term, contrasted with eros, or erotic love, and philia, or brotherly love. A prime example of usage is the Gospel summary verse of John 3:16. to describe the love that moved God to send his only son for the world’s redemption. We fully embrace this posture with our clients. Judgement-free healing awaits!
