About

With 40+ years of broad clinical experience, my practice now focuses on individual and couples work with adults. All are high functioning, often professional, dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar illness, relationship/work/family stress, divorce, grief, loneliness, infertility, overeating, aging parents, anger management or trauma. I actively engage with clients in session and give feedback although I am not directive. I accept BCBS insurance but PPO plans only. I also accept some Medicare patients.

Depression, anxiety, and stress are rampant in these times. I believe strongly in supporting the strengths of clients and understanding the historical bases of current difficulties as well as how to cope more effectively in the present. Change is always possible with motivation, open mindedness, and a willingness to stretch and grow. Life can be tough.

Many successful individuals were raised in alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional families and underestimate the extent to which these factors have impacted their self-esteem, relationships, and coping skills. I also enjoy working with couples who have a strong bond but need to develop healthier communication and conflict resolution skills.
