Does your life today reflect your hopes and desired choices -- and satisfy your own needs? Or is the life you live defined by others' needs and expectations -- or by outdated expectations for yourself? To face life's challenges today and tomorrow requires greater self-awareness. If you wish to learn more about yourself, to not only come up with solutions to the problems you face today, but to have tools with which to meet the future, we can work together well. I can be of special help in working through relationship concerns, whether seen as a couple or as an individual. To work with me means letting down walls, learning to be more compassionate with yourself and others, communicating your needs and desires more effectively, and re-exploring personal priorities/goals. Assessing your strengths and deficits -- personally and in your relationships -- provides an awareness and perspective on the work we do together. BA from Harvard; Masters/PhD in Clinical Psychology from UC Berkeley. I have had a psychotherapy practice since 1983, and conducted HIV behavioral research at UCSF 20 years. I have been elected a Fellow in Division 44 of the American Psychological Association. See my website at http://jaypaulphd.org.
