By the time clients reach my door, they've often felt stuck--either individually or relationally--for quite some time. One of my greatest strengths is the ability to help people to identify the factors that are keeping them from moving forward and the steps that it will take to change the status quo. I work with clients in an active yet compassionate way to help them to achieve their goals. Also, I'm often able to help clients to access greater inspiration and support from whatever type of spirituality they've experienced. My specialty areas include treating depression, anxeity, couples' issues, creativity blocks (particularly for artists such as writers) and stress reduction. Overworked professionals often find my services especially beneficial. As clients modify the thought and action patterns that are poorly serving them, they typically become more effective, peaceful and self-expressed. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, so I combine interventions from a variety of different orientations. Because of my multi-faceted approach, I've been able to work successfully with a wide variety of clients. I'm also an Adjunct Professor at Ryokan College.
