Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I have experience working in community-based and outpatient mental health settings. I have a passion for working with Transition Age Youth (TAY), adult, and senior populations who have been diagnosed with severe mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. My specialty areas include mood disorders, anxiety, schizophrenia, crisis intervention, grief, substance use, coping skills, and relationship issues. My mission in life is to provide hope, build insight, and be there for those who feel alone, defeated, and powerless. I love teaching my clients life and self-affirming skills such as being honest, accepting, kind, and forgiving towards themselves. Further, I help my clients find meaning from painful experiences and teach them how to become resilient so that they can rebuild their lives and heal from the inside out. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, client-centered, and strength-based perspective, focusing on genuineness, and empathy and helping clients connect their thoughts, feelings, and actions.
