The therapeutic relationship is of the utmost importance throughout the course of psychotherapy. I invite clients to form an affirming alliance, while providing a space for empathy, honesty, compassion, and empowerment. This includes addressing your mental health experiences through your own story. I believe in an integrative approach that helps identify your immediate needs and unique obstacles, and pathways towards your life goals. Through a culturally-informed practice, I will support you as we navigate interpersonal relationships and self-exploration. I utilize a diverse theoretical approach that reflects elements of pychodynamic relational therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy to help develop successful, autonomous coping patterns. I also introduce strengths-based and mindfulness practices to encourage healing and self-forgiveness in exploring anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, and trauma. Seeking therapy and beginning the journey can be very challenging. It is very difficult to learn more about ourselves and remain vulnerable while striving to grow. If you believe I can support you in achieving your potential, please feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to discuss more as we get to know each other.
