About

I am a psychologist with a diverse practice. I work with individuals, couples, adolescents and families, and conduct a variety of psychotherapy groups. My style is informal, supportive and interactive. I have extensive experience working with issues related to addictive and compulsive behavior problems, relationship issues, identity issues, and many other areas of clinical concern. My first aim is to establish a mutually comfortable rapport to provide an atmosphere of openness and to make self exploration an experience that is satisfying and immediately helpful in both the short and long term.

Having been the Clinical Director of several training clinics, I bring a high level of knowledge and experience to my work with clients. As an interpersonal psychoanalyst, the patterns of a person's interpersonal relationships guides my exploration of my clients' desire for self-knowledge and personal growth.

I participate actively and supportively in an exploratory dialogue about the client's experiences and focus on helping clients to define themselves and newly understand aspects of their experience. When clinically indicated I recommend, and offer the combined modalities of individual and group therapy.
