About

What if therapy was about uncovering the art of who you are rather than fixing what's broken? I’m J Lebow, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) at Scribble in Highland Park, offering in-person and virtual therapy for adults, children, couples, and families. I help clients navigate challenges like depression, anxiety, OCD, ADD/ADHD, autism, low self-esteem, and life transitions.

My eclectic, strength-based approach draws on a wide range of tools—art therapy, relational gestalt, Jungian dream exploration, DBT, ACT, family systems, eco therapy, and more. Together, we’ll tap into the strengths you already possess while creating space for growth, using therapy as a collaborative, playful, and curious exploration of your inner world.

Before transitioning to therapy, I spent six years as a touring musician and composer, and I have a deep understanding of the unique pressures artists face. From performing in basements to playing sold-out venues, I’ve lived the highs and lows of a creative life, and I aim to offer support for those in creative fields who often feel unseen or misunderstood.
