About

As a naval spouse of 16 years, and the mother of two children with mental health and developmental needs, J. Heather Fitzpatrick, LICSW, RPT-S, knows how difficult it can be to cope with adversity. With twenty-two years of clinical experience working with individuals, children and military service members across the range of mental health diagnoses, Heather is compassionate, committed, and well versed in guiding you to achieve your personal goals. Maintaining high esteem towards one’s natural tendency to achieve personal growth, Heather considers the clinical relationship sacrosanct and values a strength based perspective.

Heather earned her BA in Psychology from reputable Clark University in Worcester, MA and her Masters in Clinical Social Work from distinguished Smith College in Northampton, MA. Beyond her psychodynamic background, she has pursued specialized training in Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Play Therapy, Anxiety, and working with the Military.

Heather serves children, adolescents, adults, and families using a variety of treatment modalities to help clients address deep issues such as depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, adult trauma, grief, adoption, special needs, relational problems, divorce, the military lifestyle, and parenting concerns to name a few. Heather also enjoys life coaching.
