About

Life is not easy, and problems are never simple. In my view, therapy is offering guidance and support to ordinary people dealing with extraordinary circumstances. Together, we will work to make the changes that are most important to you. I use a collaborative approach, working to fully understand the issues that you are facing. My goal is to create a safe space leaving you with no doubt that you are heard and valued. I provide the necessary support allowing you to face the overwhelming, and often daunting, life circumstances that you may not have been able to address on your own.

My clinical philosophy is rooted in the tenets of Rogers’s person-centered therapy, Glasser’s Reality Therapy/Choice Therapy, and Miller and Rollnick’s Motivational Interviewing. I believe in meeting people where they are, operating from a humanistic, strengths-based perspective, and motivating people to move towards their identified goals in therapy.

You can expect to always be treated with dignity, respect, and warmth. You will have therapeutic interactions that are supportive and direct. You are likely to gain personal insight while also learning new strategies to cope with difficult emotions and challenging thoughts that interfere with enacting necessary change.
