Therapists » Marriage & Family Therapist Associate
Bringing together Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness, along with relational/attachment-based therapy, I help you locate and strengthen your inner resources of healing and resilience. Over the course of life, we accumulate hurts and wounds that impact how we function in our day to day lives. We can feel flooded by a range of difficult, often overpowering thoughts & emotions. We can experience challenges in our relationships as well as in our efforts to process and respond to overwhelming life events. Transformative healing is available. I am a relational psychotherapist who supports individuals and couples/relationships in accessing internal resources to achieve balance and well-being in all spheres of life. I am formally IFS Level-1 trained and incorporate IFS and mindful awareness, along with a keen understanding of relationships and the impacts of larger cultural contexts. Prior to being a psychotherapist, I worked in higher education. My professional background and career change, along with my life experience as a lesbian, life partner, and parent, all inform my therapy approach. Clients have valued my range of experience, my LGBTQ+ affirming practice and my compassionate curiosity, grounded focus, warmth, and humor.
