About

I specialize in a type of mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (or ACT, pronounced like the word "act"). ACT techniques were created to help clients develop more flexibility in how they respond to everyday challenges, so that they can pivot towards behavior that makes their lives work more of the time.

I offer individual and group therapy, where clients can practice being themselves in a safe, supportive space. Through monitoring changes in behavior related to unwanted thoughts and feelings, we can work together to build up flexibility so that you have more capacity to focus on values and desired behavior, rather than the avoidance of unwanted experiences.

I believe that each person is completely unique, as are their interests, values, talents, and goals. My hope is that clients are able to use the tools they gain in therapy to be "more themselves" over time, and live a life that honors their own individual paths. I'm looking forward to hearing more about who you are and where you're headed.
