In my practice, I provide a safe therapeutic environment for my clients to work through their issues as they grow and heal. I believe that it is necessary to have a non-judgmental attitude to build a therapeutic relationship for clients to share and process their life experiences. I am a Master’s level counseling Intern with over three years’ experience working in the field of mental health. I have interest in many areas which include but limited to depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, and coping with everyday stress. Being an immigrant, I believe cultural sensitivity Is important to understand one’s values and beliefs. In addition to using multiculturalism, I lean towards a Person-Centered approach due to the core conditions of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. However, I do not limit my clients to one approach. I also use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, and many others theories in treatment. My clients are welcomed with compassion, empowerment, and guidance. I respect a person’s decision to get help despite the stigma that they may face from their family or communities. I have a deep passion to help people within our community to overcome adversity. I work with my clients to discover themselves and work towards acceptance.
