Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I believe that psychotherapy is best done as a collaborative process. I have the training and experience and you, the client, bring all you know about yourself and your life. Together, we develop goals, both long and short term, that hopefully will lead to active awareness, emotional relief and behavioral changes. I love working with adolescents, young adults and college students, as well as adults and families. My interests include promoting positive life transitions and personal growth. Issues that I have been successful in dealing include depression, anxiety, acute and chronic illness, loss and grief, personality issues and relationships. I beleive that psychotherapy is not a "one size fits all" process. I use various modalities of treatment in conjunction with the client's particular needs. My experience as a meditator and training in Mindfulness Based Treatments informs my work. Helping you or your loved one to find comfort and/or change is my greatest pleasure.
