I am Gregory Harbaugh, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (100711) in California. I offer an individualized, client-centered approach, meeting the client where s/he is. I focus on depression, anxiety, trauma-based, attachment, and other areas. I work with individuals, couples, adolescents, treating depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment issues, personality issues, gay and gender non-conforming. Normally a person-centered, calm, non-directive, collaborative approach. Sometimes supportive, meeting the client where s/he is; being fully present in the moment without judgment. I thought as a child I wanted to be a physician and care for people; however, events did not support that goal. After many years in other endeavors, I returned to that earlier goal. I feel that this work aligns with my values and personality. I like clients to set goals with guidance. Some clients like a little "guided discovery." We generally work to establish a therapeutic alliance, understand the nature of psychotherapy and important office procedures. Intake of historical information for case conceptualization. Discussion of client needs going forward.
