Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I am Gordon Niel Climer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 7 years of experience in behavioral health. I specialize in working with individual adults and couples who are navigating issues that create stuck places. I completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Southern California. I was drawn to social work because three issues kept me up at night: poverty, mental health, and substance abuse. Feeling inadequate to address these challenges in the community motivated me to pursue this field. View 5 Photos I focus on addressing anxiety, depression, and life transition issues. I utilize mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), shame resiliency, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I have also studied the Gottman Method for couples therapy. We live in stressful times, and it’s common to feel overwhelmed by the complexities of our relationships, work, and personal well-being. I work with clients to manage these anxious moments, helping them find insights, develop skills, and hone their strengths. When you are ready to start this journey, schedule an appointment with me.
