Gillean is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 15 years of experience providing mental health counseling to children, adults, couples, and families. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges, with clinical interests in attachment issues, spiritual and self-esteem concerns, disordered eating, OCD, and relational dynamics. Gillean is passionate about integrating a client’s spiritual journey into the therapeutic process. Additionally, she enjoys working with couples preparing for marriage and is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator. Gillean received her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She is licensed in the State of Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Gillean spent 6 years in community mental health at the Glen Roberts Child Study Center and Child and Family Center in Santa Clarita, CA, before starting a private practice in Santa Monica. After moving to Texas, she worked for 5 years at the A&M Christian Counseling Center and is now in private practice in College Station, TX.
