About

Kids are AWESOME! But they struggle. That’s when they act out, or act in. Maybe you’ve been seeing it for years. Or they’re angry, frustrated, or disobedient all of a sudden. And if they’re harming themselves, you’re doubly scared. You can’t help but wonder what’s behind it all. You might be thinking that your child’s behavior is a reflection of your parenting. But your child’s fears and anxieties can come from any number of places: media, school experiences, traumatic events, family issues. It can even be inherited and we all know we can’t control our genes. View 5 Photos

So, what can be done? There are many ways to intervene with children, and they are usually quite receptive. Our first session will help us warm up to each other. We’ll talk about the challenges you face, get your and your child’s perspective on what’s going on, and discuss your goals for therapy. We do expressive/play therapy and will have family sessions.

Don’t wait! Children can change fast, so early intervention is key. Most of the time, within just a few sessions, my youngest clients report feeling better, their parents confirm that their behavior has changed, and what they were most worried about coming in turns out to be a short-term concern. You've found the help ... reach out and we'll get started!
