I use a cognitive-behavioral approach meaning I draw on interventions with proven success based on research, and actively collaborate with clients to set goals, build skills, and address issues directly. My areas of expertise include child and adolescent treatment, treatment of young adults, anxiety, depression, trauma, and parenting support including addressing disruptive behaviors. Dr. Carson earned her PhD at St. John's University and completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral training at Northwell (formerly North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center). Dr. Carson is also the Former Clinical Director of the Crisis Clinic in Bellevue Hospital's Children's Psychiatric Emergency Program (CCPEP) and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the NYU School of Medicine
