About

Gab began working at CM Counsel in 2022: conducts intake assessments + works with adult clients individually processing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety and depression utilizing a CBT-approach to therapy; works with some clients who have substance misuse, women processing gender-related challenges + health barriers, clients with some personality-disorder features. Gab previously worked at the Joseph J. Peters Institute (JJPI) in Philadelphia from 2013 - 2022, transitioning through roles to eventually become Project Coordinator of Court Services and Evidence-Based Practices.

At JJPI, Gab worked primarily with adults with complex trauma histories and substance use disorders. From 2015 - 2021, Gab acted as the liaison for JJPI + Project Dawn Court, one of Philadelphia's former diversionary programs for female sex workers. Gab’s interest in working with sex workers + survivors of human trafficking began while studying abroad.

And for the less formal stuff: outside of work, Gab enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, micro-managing her tomato garden in the summer and watching the Eagles show off their Philly grit on Sundays. She’s involved with the pole dance / aerials community, loves dogs + old school outlaw country music and can probably beat you in a good old fashioned Quizzo game.
