Therapists » Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
The relationship between myself and the client is critical because a good therapeutic relationship is at the heart of successful therapy. I take the time required to get to know my clients, including each element that distinguishes them, and identifies the goals they hope to achieve through our time together. I recognize that each client is unique and know that it is critical to understand the client’s perspective. I look forward to helping new clients of all ages as I strive to enable clients to realize their potential, skills, and self-worth. I am here to help guide and participate in the process as a catalyst for your change. I developed my theoretical counseling approach: Child and Person-Centered Therapy (empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard) with a mix of Solution-Focused and CBT. I have extensive experience in play therapy (ages 4-9/9-11), having worked in a kindergarten classroom for over five years, helping students with science, math, etc. I am here to help guide and be a part of the process and catalyst to allow them to get where they want to be. Goals can change over time, so being flexible and open is vital. I provide a non-judgmental, safe environment where clients can freely disclose their feelings and concerns.
