About

One seeks out therapy for many reasons. Perhaps you are feeling immobilized, noticing self-defeating patterns of behavior, experiencing repetitive thoughts, or are anxious about life transitions. Together in psychotherapy we will work on understanding your patterns, their unconscious reasons, and how they might be shaping your current life. Once it is given expression, life can take on a healthier form and lead to more security and fulfillment. My practice is psychodynamically oriented this means insight-based talk therapy. Though I incorporate other approaches such as attachment theory, art therapy, and somatic body awareness.

A good fit between a therapist and a client, will allow for most effective work, where a client will experience being seen and will get to know oneself on a more profound level. A space will open up for deeper self-compassion and a sense of relief will follow.

I earned my master’s in counseling and art therapy at the Art Institute of Chicago and have been in practice as licensed professional counselor for 8 years. I have completed a two-year psychodynamic psychotherapy training. Currently I am continuing in psychoanalytic training at the New Orleans-Birmingham Psychoanalytic Center.
