About

Stress, sadness, grief, disappointment and self-doubt: as humans we all face these painful experiences. But when the feelings become too big to manage, disruptive to relationships and daily life, you don’t have to struggle with them on your own. Maybe you’ve tried to ignore or suppress uncomfortable thoughts, but that can actually make things worse, leading to anxiety and depression. I aim to help clients build the capacity to explore, tolerate and navigate distress, and to learn to move through difficult moments with more ease. We can’t make negative emotions disappear, but we can work together to lessen their impact on your life.

Everyone is unique so there's no one-size-fits-all approach to successful change. My work is trauma-informed, drawing on psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and compassion-focused therapy techniques. We will look for patterns and habits that are getting in your way, build upon your existing strengths, and foster compassion for yourself and others.

Building a safe and trusting client/therapist relationship is a crucial part of the work and can be an important opportunity for healing. I will meet you where you are with warmth, empathy, openness and non-judgement. Together we can work towards your goals, whether you are navigating a crisis or simply want to make changes to live a more fulfilling life.
