Are you doing too much? Are you on the path toward burn out? Does the need to be productive and accomplish everything consume you? Are you still convinced you can be everything to everyone? I can relate. In my experience, it is not sustainable and leads to anxiety and suffering. We can process this mindset and look at these tendencies in therapy. I want to join you in the stress of life and invite you to rest a little.
We can consider doing things differently by incorporating self-compassion, boundaries, and balancing your needs with environmental expectations. We practice slowing down enough to listen to our intuition.
I realize how difficult it to ask for help and to make efforts to try a new approach, especially when being a "human doing" is reinforced and encouraged in our society. While you may be thinking you can't afford to stop doing anything because it is all necessary, I'm curious if you can afford to keep doing all the things without taking care of you.
