I am a resident in counseling who loves working with people who are going through transitional times and the difficulties of change. I have a special interest in supporting you in making sense of family dynamics, exploring identity questions, and confronting social issues. I believe in helping you to look at problems from different perspectives. I am queer affirming, and enjoy working with clients who are neurodivergent, ADHD, adolescents, and parents. By working together in a trusting, supportive relationship, we can navigate life’s challenges with greater ease. Some of my favorite approaches include teaching “everyday” mindfulness techniques and breaking down challenges with organization, work-life balance and other life stressors. My experience over the last decade includes being an in-home family counselor and a public-school counselor at the middle and high school levels. Clients often tell me that they appreciate my sense of humor and my ability to be down-to-earth and practical. I believe that laughter is essential to healing, and I strive to create an environment where my clients feel safe enough to laugh, even in the midst of difficult emotions.
