My ideal client is someone who wants to help themselves. Going to therapy is a difficult move to make. It's a leap of faith and an act of trust. I hope to build a relationship with clients who are willing to trust me to listen to them, be there for them, and help them. I try to make my therapeutic environment as comfortable as possible. It should be like having a close friend who you actually enjoy talking with. I think it makes it so much easier to talk about difficult topics when you feel like you know and trust the person you're talking to. I will create a personal relationship with you by meeting you on your level. Through my training and my own mental health journey, I can empathize and sympathize with the particular set of circumstances you want to talk about.
