My experience as a 14-year law enforcement officer led to my understanding of the unique and often complex issues that arise from serving communities and country, including addiction and trauma. I use evidence-based practices with a unique and holistic approach to healing and understand the culture and language associated with veteran and first responder communities. Drawing upon my Native American roots, I incorporate indigenous techniques when appropriate for the client. I use a strengths-based, client-centered approach, CBT, cognitive therapy, and offer sensory healing, a unique and gentle approach created through my personal and professional experience to heal trauma and reduce the intensity and frequency of trauma symptoms, improving overall functioning and quality of life. Having experienced trauma and addiction personally, I learned that we can and DO recover but it often takes hard work, open-mindedness, and willingness. I will be there to support you in your healing journey and to celebrate the WINS! I cater treatment to the individual to promote best outcomes.
