Hello fam!, and welcome to my Psychology Today page. My name is Erick Nunez, and I am a gay man of Black and Puerto Rican descent. Throughout my career, I've advocated for my community (those who have been marginalized and oppressed) and I'm honored to provide a safe and creative therapy space for my clients to express themselves openly and freely with no judgment. My goal is to make therapy comfortable for people of color. From a client-centered and trauma-informed approach, I have helped clients with restructuring negative thought patterns with a deeper understanding of their origins, exploring the intersection of their identity, and most importantly, rediscovering their authentic selves. My style of therapy is to be real and use one's strengths to make changes. Change can be scary but so is staying the same. There is a quote that I live by "Whatever you are not changing ... you are choosing". Allow me to be part of your journey so that you feel supported while making the necessary changes. Please feel free to email or call me, and we can discuss the ways in which I can support you. Sending positive vibrations.
